1. How to request account deletion
To request deletion of your PenPenGo account and associated data, follow these steps:
- From the email address registered to your PenPenGo account, send an email to support@penpengo.com.
- Use the subject line: Delete my account.
- In the message, include your registered full name and mobile number so we can verify that the account belongs to you.
- Our team will verify your identity and confirm your request before permanently deleting your account.
2. What data is deleted
Once your request is verified, we delete the personal information linked to your account, including:
- Your name, email address and mobile number
- Profile information and profile photograph
- For drivers: driver-verification documents such as driving licence, national ID, voter registration and vehicle details
- Saved and recent pickup / destination locations
- In-app chat messages between rider and driver
- Ratings, feedback and support communications tied to your account
- Device and login/session information
3. What data is kept, and for how long
Some records cannot be deleted immediately because we are required to keep them. Where this applies, the data is retained in a limited or de-identified form and is not used to re-create your account. This may include:
- Trip, transaction and invoice records needed for legal, tax, accounting and financial-reporting obligations
- Records required for safety, fraud-prevention, dispute-resolution or incident investigations
These records are retained only for as long as required by applicable law and our legal obligations — typically up to 5 years, or longer where the law requires. After that period they are deleted or permanently anonymised.
4. How long deletion takes
After we verify your request, your account is deactivated and the personal data described in section 2 is deleted within 30 days. We will confirm by email once deletion is complete. Data covered by section 3 is removed at the end of its required retention period.
